Our laboratory studies the
structure and function of Interferon-alpha. Crucial to this work is
knowledge of the antiviral bioactivity of the interferons. An antiviral
cytopathic effect (CPE) assay is done to determine such activity. The
position is specifically for someone who will carry out this assay
following protocols which are established and amending them for use with
various cell/virus combinations.
Position requires a working knowledge of laboratory operations and prior
experience in cell culture and antiviral assays (CPE). Previous work in
basic research laboratory setting and knowledge of other bioassays
preferred. |
