What is the ISICR?
The
International Society for Interferon
and Cytokine Research (ISICR) is a
non-profit organization of over 650
scientists devoted to research in
the fields of interferon, cytokine
and chemokine cell biology,
molecular biology, biochemistry and
the clinical use of these biological
response modifiers. Each year
the ISICR sponsors an international
meeting where scientists can present
their latest findings to the
world-wide scientific community.
Membership in the society is open to
all individuals interested in
interferons, cytokines and
chemokines. Full membership is
only $50/year and $10/year for
postdoctoral fellows. 3 year and 5 year full membership options are now available. Students in good standing are
eligible to receive one free 3 year
membership. Life memberships are
available for those members age 55 or older.
Membership in the ISICR has many benefits, including:
eligibility for ISICR awards, including travel awards to
the annual meeting; the opportunity to participate in
the ISICR sponsored session at the American Association
of Immunology annual meeting, access to a slide
repository currently containing over 420 slides for use
in lectures, seminars, courses, etc; the most recent
issue of the popular ISICR newsletter and the
opportunity to network with the leading investigators in
the field of interferon, cytokine and chemokine
research. |
